The Grammy award winning famous American singer, Musician Roberta Flack has bee  diagnosed with ALS , commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease , leaving her in such a condition that she is now unable to sing. Know details about Roberta Flack ALS disease below.

Roberta Flack ALS disease:   The famous, 85 years old musician , known for songs such as “killing me softly”, “ The first time ever I saw your face” has also restricted her ability to speak , the outlet further said in its   report , however quoting her manager . Her manager further said, “ she plans to stay active in her musical and creative pursuits.”

The diagnosis comes a week before a documentary based on her life . she also has plans to publish Children’s book in January.

As reported  by BBC ,Her manager also said, “ It will take a lot more than ALS to silent this Icon.”

Roberta Flack ALS disease:   The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke of US said that ALS is a rare Neurological Disorder that primarily affects the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscle movement that means We can not mobilize our chosen  muscles or parts.

Its early symptoms include Muscle weakness, stiffness , all voluntary muscle affected gradually  that the individuals loss their strength and ability to speak, eat, move even breathe .

The National Institute further said , “There is no cure for ALS or No effective treatment to halt the progression of this disease”. According to Variety, Flack suffered a stroke in 2016.

She is popular for her No.1 singles “ The First Time Ever I saw your face”, “ Killing me softly with his song”, “ Where is The love”, “ The Closure I Get to you” . She is also noted for her influence on the subgenre of contemporary R&B called Quite Strom .

Because of her splendid musical career, she was able to become the Awardee of four Grammy Award and also received 14 nominations.

Flack was the First artist to win the Grammy award for record of the year in two consecutive years: “ The First time Ever I saw your face” won in 1973 and          “ Killing me Softly with his song” in 1974.
